WP1 will identify, define and assess the existing available successful models of innovation operating to improve the viability and to assure a future for Mediterranean pastoralism. The establishment of the RLLs and their relative functioning and organization will also be the subject of the WP activity, whose desk approach will be preparatory to the participatory actions envisaged predominantly in WP2 but also in subsequent WPs.

WP4 will liaise with RLLs to foster coordinated initiatives for commercialization of pastoral products and inclusive participation of weaker actors (women, smallholders, young entrepreneurs). This WP aims to promote market access and increased recognisability of pastoral products through the use of an ICT tool.

Policy and strategies to develop IBM-based businesses and pastoral organizations.

WP5 envisages to provide methodological and operational support to public authorities to better define and implement their strategies for pastoralism. It seeks to combine the introduction of effective targeted pastoral policies with market-oriented support and planning for VCP and actors to implement IBM effectively and upscale their performances.

Dissemination, communication and capacity building/training.
WP Lead | CIHEAM
WP6 will implement a multi-layer communication, dissemination and exploitation approach that will contribute to the recognisability, reputation and scaling up of Mediterranean pastoral systems and VCP. The project activities in communication, dissemination and capacity building will be strategically designed to reach the selected target groups, providing tailored tools, products and communication channels. Collaboration will be sought with relevant networks and existing open digital platforms of the sector, to share the gained knowledge and discuss practices.
